Job Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with a strong ability to design for form and function. This role is an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. As part of a domain focused cross-functional team, their user experience design talents will help bring clarity to the problem space and steer the solution space.

In this position, you will be working in a a product that enables photo capture capabilities that will be leveraged for inspections or appraisal across consumer, wholesale, and off lease. The capabilities expand into machine learning allowing for us to depict types of vehicle parts, cost associated with reconditioning and enabling a sense of severity to the parts through photo capture capabilities.


Responsibilities

  • This role is focused on both UX discovery and UI delivery within product development team(s). As a Senior Designer, you will be bringing a wealth of experience into a product development team and have a strong ability to influence best practices and design vision.
  • Enable quality via an atomic design system across different platforms, while meeting requirements for accessibility and brand guidelines.
  • Identify UX opportunities, personas and journeys.
  • Facilitate collaborative design workshops and studio sessions.
  • Steer how we define our hypotheses using sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, content-first information architecture, and taxonomy, and relate them to user interface task success metrics.
  • Present your design vision to enable product iteration plans and future story mapping.
  • Present usability recommendations based on user testing, analytics, and user behavior.
  • Run experiments with developers by providing artifacts such as prototypes and visual UI mocks, with supporting materials for icons, illustrations, assets, copy, animation, and gestures.
  • Measure past releases and plan for further optimization.
  • Provide mentorship to junior members and maintain a positive outlook at all times.
  • Influence non-design functions (360 degrees) by enabling design evidence and best practices.
  • Set atomic design best practices and standards.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of design experience across web, iOS and Android.
  • Experience in low-fidelity wireframing and adapting that into high-fidelity experiences while utilizing design system components.
  • Experience with Figma and other prototyping tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and responsive designs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform and provide peer reviews to other design members.
  • Strong communication skills to provide rationale for your design decisions.
  • Experience partnering with/conducting research for user testing and user interviews (nice to have).
  • Experience designing a CRM or CMS (nice to have).
  • Experience in the auto industry and with basic auto industry terminology (nice to have).
