Job Purpose

At Eureka Labs, we hire high performing professionals who participate in different teams. You, as a Product & Engineer Manager can lead them to perform at their best.

It’s vital that you understand the customer needs and the projects that the team members are working on, so you can define the best way to manage the team, set expectations and ensure an outstanding level of delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the team efficiently by applying methodologies, frameworks and other team management tools.
  • Help to get everything needed for the team in order to perform their job efficiently.
  • Help team members during the ramp-up process by scheduling induction meetings, get documentation, pair team members with someone experienced, etc. Goal should be to start contributing to the project as soon as possible.
  • Be up to date with every project that each team member is working on. Understand difficulties, problems and opportunities. Be a facilitator.
  • Help each team member to prepare and follow a personal development plan so they can step up in their professional career.
  • Set goals for each team member, periodically check goals progress, make adjustments and take actions as needed.
  • Help to execute the business and technical vision defined by the company.
  • Team building activities, share and "preach" the company's vision and mission.
  • Regular check-ins with the customer to see if everything is aligned and working well. What changes / adjustments are needed in order to provide a better service. Identify opportunities that can be beneficial for Eureka Labs.
  • Do performance reviews with every member of the team according to the process defined by the company.
  • Participate in the recruiting process of team members reporting to you.
  • Collect, document and report software development performance and quality metrics from the team if possible.
  • Identify low performers or team members who need improvements in certain areas. Prepare, present and follow a performance improvement plan (PIP) for the team member.
  • Establish great communication with the customer.
  • Make sure of a high level of delivery.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of people management.
  • Strong technical background: Frontend & Backend development, Databases, Data, Infrastructure, Security.
  • Excellent communication skills. Great listener.
  • Experience in Performance Review Processes.
  • Experience at projects delivery on budget on time.
  • Advanced English.
